September President’s Message

Greetings Tampa Bay Culinary Association Members,

Awards reception / dinner on September 15, 2014 at The Tradewinds Resort, Executive Chef Justin Harry and Director of F&B Jeffery Fredrickson will be hosting our event. We cannot thank them enough for their support & generosity. Please RSVP to Cheryl Glass as soon as possible so we are able to give proper notification to the chefs. There will be a contribution $20.00 per person, senior members and (one) Guest, & Student members will be gratis which has always been our tradition. SE VP Michael Deihl, CEC, CCA, AAC will be present.  Chef Deihl has supported our chapter and we look forward towards his visit. Please take the time to meet Chef Deihl during his visit.

Our Chapter will be sponsoring an ACF Tampa Bay Certified Competition Sponsored by Minors/ Nestle’ Professional, Chef Allan Gazaway, CEC, AAC Corporate Chef, Date of the competition is on November 1 & 2 2014 being held at Land O Lakes High School. Details are highlighted on the chapter web sight, Gerard Marquetty, CEC, CCA will be the Show Chair for this event. All inquiries need to be addressed with Chef Marquetty.

To our student members I encourage you to become more involved with your Tampa Chapter.  The ACF sanctioned competition is a perfect opportunity for you to participate in.  We are also seeking student volunteers to assist with the competition, please contact Chef Marquetty for details.  We will be introducing the past & new elected Board at the chapter awards dinner on September 15, 2014 at the Tradewinds Resort.
