Jacobson Culinary Academy – Hurricane Irma meal

Jacobson Culinary Academy – Hurricane Irma meal

Please join us in thanking Chef Cathleen Ryan and the students of the Jacobson Culinary Academy at Tarpon Springs High School. Today, they opened their kitchen and dining room to the community for a free brunch.

Many people in the surrounding neighborhood are still without power after Hurricane Irma. Several of her students, parent volunteers, and Chef Patrick Artz from Armwood High School (Tampa) came were there from 9am-4pm preparing and serving food. There were many people who came out and took advantage of a hot meal, including members of the Tarpon Springs Police Department.

The academy is open to the public for lunch on most Thursdays. If you would like to support their program by dining in, you can call Chef Ryan at 727.943.4900 x 2188
